products | artool | craig fraser templates

Just to prove that there is no over-exploited segment of kustom painting that we won't ignore, we have now set our sites on the genre of the Kustom Kulture.

The phrase was originally coined by the likes of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and Robert Williams. The genre of the Kustom Kulture has to do with any artistic, cultural aspect of the Hot Rodder's lifestyle. Since the Hot Rod industry has been chock full of icons since day one, we decided to bring up a few kewl ones and produce stencils for your painting pleasure.

We didn't have to test these babies for years to find out if the designs are appealing. We incorporated recognized designs and icons that have been floating in and out of the palette of kustom painters for generations.

Like all the stencils out of the Artool Chemtox Labs, these suckers have been made with the toughest solvent-proof material known to man or alien!

Now don't go thinking I went computer on you. While a computer and laser may produce these little gems, they were still drawn by hand with a half-dead Sharpy while watching SpongeBob (just like all the rest). This gives them that freehand "crook-edge" goodness that can only come from human imperfection and over-caffeination.

So take that secret stash of money you have been saving for those unnecessary surgeries, and buy yourself a couple of stencils. You'll be a better human for it!

Paint to live, live to stencil.

Craig Fraser

FLYBALLZ

Probably the most self-explanatory of the set: basically we cut you a whole passel of flying eyeballs! To make the eyeball freaks even happier, we included two big suckers, both good and evil. Hey, are these Von Dutch flying eyes?? NO! Go dabble in copyright infringement in your own spare time.

PISTONS N' PLUGS

Every self-respecting kustom painter is a bit of a motorhead. Now you can cover your kustom graphics with airbrushed versions of all those leftover parts you had when you put your bucket back together. And if you know nothing about cars, don't worry, airbrush with these and everyone will think you do. Pistons ...Plugs ...V-Eights ...Oh My!

LUCKY 7

Luck is out there ...there is just no telling what kind. Now you can make your own luck (at least with an airbrush)! Now what do spider webs have to do with luck? Well ...nothing. But they are kewl, and it's my stencil, so I put them in! Officially, I have now decided that spider webs are lucky. Artool lays no claim to this stencil having special lucky powers or having allowed anyone to achieve god-like status in Vegas ...but then again, they have only just been released. Hmmm....

ACES N' EIGHTS

"The deadman's hand." Now you can hold the same hand that Wild Bill Hickok held before he was shot in the back. Hmmm ...bad analogy. But kewl designs, none the less! Since freehand airbrushing playing cards ranks right up there with counting dirt, this handy new stencil takes the tedium out of 52-card pickup. Fantastic for graphic backgrounds, and of course, wedding cakes! (Just in case you true believers thought we had forgotten our original mission statement.)

SACRED HEART

We cannot cover the whole gamut of the kustom kulture without a salute to the tattoo "flash" artists out there. The "Sacred Heart" gives you a nice selection of tattoo-style hearts. Makes ya wanna run out and get yourself sleeved! Go ahead and find the seamiest hole-in-the-wall tattoo parlor, and whip these out for the tattoer to use on you! Remember: he may beat you senseless ‰Û|but he will respect your taste in art, and probably keep your stencils.

MARTINI TIME

You know, there are those that give up when the going gets tough. And there are some that give up when it's easy. Then there are those that choose to face the world with the simple statement: "It's Martini Time!" What do crowns and nautical stars have to do with martinis? Well, if you drink too much, you‰Ûªll break your crown and see stars! Okay, it's a reach. Listen: kewl stencil ‰ÛÒ lots of icons ‰ÛÒ makes you happy. It really is that simple!
